Es wird eine Maschine zum Abkühlen und Richten von Gussbauteilen (10) aus Gussmaterial bestehend aus einem Aufbau für das Halten von Gussbauteilen (10) und einer Halterung für eine Zufuhr von abkühlenden Flüssigkeiten vorgeschlagen, wobei die Maschine Mittel (12,22) zur Halterung des Gussbauteiles (10) besitzt und Richtdruckzylinder (24) mit Richtstempel (23) eingebaut sind, die das Gussbauteil (10) gegen Auflagen (14) drücken. Ein Verfahren zum Richten eines Guussbauteils nach der Entnahme aus der Gussform ist ebenfalls beschrieben.
