Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2013160394A1] The invention relates to reinforcement for a material that consists of a mouldable compound, particularly for a building material, in which barley awns (4) and seed parachutes (1), particularly from bulrush seeds, are present as components in said reinforcement. The seed parachutes comprise stem fibres (2) and lateral fibres (3) branching off therefrom, said lateral fibres (3) of the seed parachutes (1) being connected to one another by the barley awns (4). The barley awns (4) have a weight proportion of approximately 0.1 to approximately 2 times, for example approximately 0.5 to approximately 1 time, higher than the weight proportion of the seed parachutes (1). The invention also relates to a building material comprising the described reinforcement, and to a method for producing said building material.
