[origin: WO2013160033A1] The invention relates to a method for connecting poles (13, 14) of two battery cells (10), comprising a connecting element in the form of a wire (15), said connecting element connecting the poles (13, 14) of the battery cells (10) to each other. According to the invention, the wire (15) is directly connected to a pole (13, 14) of a battery cell (10) in a welding region (17) by means of a laser beam (1) in order to form a laser beam weld.
