[origin: WO2013164066A1] A method allows the adjustment of a radial gap between two rotary cylindrical embossing tools (16, 17) in an embossing device (14) comprising: a support structure (19, 21); a first structure (16, 24, 26, 27, 29) mounted with the capability of translational movement with respect to the supporting structure (19, 21) and fitted with a first rotary cylindrical tool (16); and a second structure (17, 22, 28, 31) mounted fixedly on the supporting structure (19, 21) and equipped with a second rotary cylindrical tool (17). The method involves the steps consisting in: pushing (T) the first structure (16, 24, 26, 27, 29) to move it closer to the second structure (17, 22, 28, 31), by pressing against the supporting structure (19, 21), so as to set a radial gap between the first and the second tool (16, 17); and pulling (P) the first structure (16, 24, 26, 27, 29) to move it away from the second structure (17, 22, 28, 31), by pressing against the supporting structure (19, 21), so as to allow fine adjustment of the radial gap between the first and second tool (16, 17).
