[origin: WO2013164533A1] An electronic control unit (ECUAUTO) having a configurable line termination for a digital communication network having at least two signal transmission lines (LH, LL), said electronic control unit comprising a line termination (RTA, RTB, CT) essentially defined by an equivalent termination resistance capable of connecting the signal transmission wires to each other, a line termination switching device (muC, SWH, SWL, BL2) for activating the line termination, characterised in that the electronic control unit further comprises a device (muC, Vref1, Vref2, SWPOL_H, SWPOL_L) for determining the presence of other line terminations on the communication network and for self-adapting to control the activation of the line termination on the basis of the presence or otherwise of other line terminations on the communication network.
