[origin: EP2845742A1] An image forming apparatus includes a guide member (3), a plurality ofrecording heads (6), a plurality of head holders (51A, 51B), a carriage (5), and an adjustment member (30). The guide member (3) extends in a main scanning direction (A). The recording heads (6) ejects droplets. Each of the head holders (51A, 51B) holds at least one of the recording heads (6). The head holders (51A, 51B) are held side by side on the guide member (3). The carriage (5) holds the head holders (51A, 51B), is movable along the guide member (3), and has a reference member (71) extending in the main scanning direction (A). The adjustment member (30) is disposed in vicinity of front ends of the head holders (51A, 51B) in a sub scanning direction (B) and adjusts a gap between adjoining ones of the head holders (51A, 51B).
