[origin: US2015001049A1] A blocking element is disclosed for blocking the movement of a handle or a switching lever of an electrical switch. In at least one embodiment, the blocking element is switchable between at least two positions. In the first position, the blocking element can block the movement of the handle or of the switching lever and, in the second position, the blocking element cannot block the movement of the handle or of the switching lever.
