Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013171015A1] The invention relates to a method for compensating a voltage offset in a voltage-lambda characteristic of a two-point lambda probe in relation to a reference-voltage-lambda characteristic of the two-point lambda probe, the two-point lambda probe being arranged in an exhaust conduit of an internal combustion engine. For an output voltage of the two-point lambda probe, the increase in the voltage-lambda characteristic is determined and compared to the increase in the reference-voltage-lambda characteristic at the same output voltage, and the voltage offset is determined from a deviation between the determined increase in the voltage-lambda characteristic and the increase in the reference-voltage-lambda characteristic. The invention further relates to a control unit for performing the method. The method and the control unit enable a voltage offset in a two-point lambda probe caused by ageing or manufacturing tolerance to be determined and compensated for.
