The strips (106) may be attached to a fixation device (110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, 200) that is secured to the object. Certain types of fixation devices (110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 200) are configured to apply a clamping pressure to the stripped end portion of the cable jacket when the stripped end portion is positioned between first and second surfaces of the fixation device. Certain types of fixation devices (190) are configured to have the stripped regions (106) threaded through and wrapped around the fixation devices (190) to attach the cable (100).
