Abstract (en)

A system for designing, planning, controlling, optimising and evaluating use of energy by an energy system in a facility, said facility being selected from a building, a plurality of buildings, an outdoor area or a combination thereof, the system comprising at least a static simulator for the creation of and/or the selection of an energy system configuration and for the subsequent simulation of the energy consumption and/or production based on the selected configuration, a sensor network, a controller obtaining real time information from a sensor network connected to various appliances, and information originating from the static and dynamic simulator to control the energy management of the system, a performance module for monitoring the performance of an energy system based on operational data from the controller, wherein the performance module runs a number of applications related to policy conformance (building energy footprint, support for emission trading, etc.) and to real time energy module standard performance evaluation, a dynamic simulator predicting at predetermined intervals data corresponding to the consumption and/or production and cost of an energy resource in the energy system, said energy resource being selected from, electricity, oil, gas, water or other energy resource; and a user interface.
