In order for an unwinding means (1) to be developed further so as to ensure the functionality of the unwinding means (1) even in the case of relatively large winding cores or of relatively large rollers, the invention proposes that the crosspiece (10) be connected, in a releasable and non-releasable manner, to an accommodating element (9) of which the surface-area portions (14), which correspond to the crosspiece (10), enclose the crosspiece (10) and have accommodating surfaces (15) for the product which is to be unwound.
