Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2013186127A1] The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for cleaning components of a water-channelling appliance (8), in particular of a domestic appliance, having a rinsing device (13), which discharges a surge (15) of rinsing liquid (12) and thus subjects a first component (2), at least in part, to cleaning action. In order to make it possible, using simple means, for different domestic-appliance components to be subjected to individually adapted, in some cases also simultaneous, cleaning operations at different intensities and/or with different cleaning durations, it is provided that a first sub-quantity (40) of the surge (15) of rinsing liquid acts on a second component (6) which is to be cleaned, and that a further sub-quantity (42) branches off from the surge (15) of rinsing liquid and passes into an interim store (21), from which it passes, if required, to the second component (6) which is to be cleaned.
