[origin: EP2860299A1] The present application discloses a laundry processing apparatus (100) including: a storage tub (200) for storing laundry; a steam generation portion (400) with a steam generator (420) for generating steam to be sprayed into the storage tub (200); and a housing (110) for storing the storage tub (200) and the steam generator (420). The steam generator (420) is held apart from the housing (110). The steam generator (420) may have a wall surface (429, 431, 432, 434) defining a chamber (430) for generating the steam. The steam generation portion (400) including a heater (425) for heating the wall surface (429, 431, 432, 434) may be held apart from the housing (110).
