[origin: WO2013185754A1] The invention relates to a jaw crusher comprising - two opposing crusher jaws (2, 3) which are attached to a jaw crusher frame and at least one crusher jaw of which is a hinged jaw (3), - at least one piston/cylinder unit which can drive the hinged jaw (3) in an oscillating manner, the hydraulic cylinder (5) of which is pivotally mounted, and the piston rod (5.2) of which is hinged to the hinged jaw (3), said piston rod being extendable out of the hydraulic cylinder (5) and retractable back into the cylinder (1) in an oscillating manner, and - a control device with which the crusher gap width between the two crusher jaws (2, 3) can be set. The invention is characterized in that the control device contains a control unit which acts on the piston/cylinder unit and with which a consistent limited pivot range of the hinged jaw (3) can be set within the lower and upper pivot range thresholds.
