[origin: WO2014044486A1] The invention relates to a rail vehicle with at least one ventilated roof-mounted container (1) and at least one first shading plate (2) which is arranged above the roof-mounted container (1) at a distance from same. A ventilation duct (7) which is designed as a jet pump and has at least one inlet (8) in the region of a gap (5) between the roof-mounted container (1) and the first shading plate (2) is used to conduct the exhaust air from the ventilated roof-mounted container (1) past the inlet such that a vacuum is generated in the region of the ventilation duct (7) inlet (8) as a result of the exhaust air flowing through the ventilation duct (7) so that air flows from the surroundings of the rail vehicle into the gap (5) between the roof-mounted container (1) and the first shading plate (2).
