Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014000981A1] The invention relates to a device (300) for changing the rigidity of a vehicle, wherein the device (300) has at least one longitudinal member (310a, 310b). The device (300) furthermore has an adaptive element (320), wherein the adaptive element (320) has at least two fastening points (360), wherein at least one fastening point (360) of the at least two fastening points (360) is connected to the at least one longitudinal member (310a, 310b), wherein the adaptive element (320) is oriented transversely with respect to the at least one longitudinal member (310a, 310b), wherein the adaptive element (320) has an actuator (670) with an interface for receiving a triggering signal (735) for actuating the actuator (670), wherein the actuator (670) is designed in order to change the rigidity of the adaptive element (320) in response to the triggering signal (735).
