The transporting device (118) is designed to transport the goods to be cleaned (112) through the cleaning chamber (122) in a transport direction (120). The cleaning device (110) has at least one rinsing nozzle system (178) for applying at least one rinsing fluid, in particular fresh water, to the goods to be cleaned (112). The rinsing nozzle system (178) has at least two rinsing nozzle units (196) arranged perpendicular to the transport direction (120) at different positions. The rinsing nozzle units (196) can be switched independently of each other in order to apply rinsing fluid to the goods to be cleaned (112) at the different positions independently of each other.
