Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014174482A1] A nickel- and palladium-free master alloy usable with gold for manufacturing white gold alloys, comprising: (A) 35% to 80% by weight of silver; (B) 3% to 20% by weight of zinc; (C) 0,5% to 40% by weight of copper; (D) 5% to 40% by weight of manganese; (E) 0% to 0,25% by weight of at least one grain refiner selected the group consisting of: iridium, ruthenium, rhenium, cobalt and rhodium; (F) 0% to 0,5% by weight of at least one deoxidizing agent selected the group consisting of: silicon, lithium and phosphorus; (G) 0% to 3% of gallium. A method for manufacturing such master alloy, comprising the steps of preparing a mixture of the above components (A) to (G) and tableting this mixture.
