[origin: CA2859884A1] A tearing tape which is composed of paper for severing a paper web which moves from a system tor producing paper and is wound up on drums, in order as a result to make it possible for it to be wound onto an empty drum. Here, the tearing tape, in cross-section, has a central tape part and two lateral tape parts. The central tape part has a thickness that is at least 1.5 times greater than a thickness of the lateral tape parts.
