[origin: WO2014009130A1] The invention relates to signalling (50) of an emergency stop process of a motor vehicle (10), in which a flashing warning light signal (54) is output. According to the invention, a change-of-lane signal (60) is output in the event of an intention to change lanes (56). The invention also relates to a motor vehicle (10) with rear lights (14, 16) which have light elements (42) disposed next to one other in a direction transverse to the vehicle, an emergency stop system and a rear display (26), wherein the motor vehicle (10) is suitable for carrying out signalling (50) according to the invention.
