[origin: CA2878086A1] The invention relates to a surface combustion burner comprising a burner head (12) with a housing (14) that has an upstream feed inlet (18) for a fuel-air mixture and a downstream woven membrane (16) on an outlet side, and that comprises a flame backlash barrier (17) which is arranged upstream of the woven membrane (16) and spaced apart therefrom, the at least one woven membrane (16) and the flame backlash barrier (17) being arranged by means of at least one detachable connecting element (54) that is fixed in a receiving section (47) in the housing (14).
