Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014009619A1] The invention relates to a hinge (4) for articulating an opening panel of the bonnet type that closes off the engine compartment in a motor vehicle bodyshell, said hinge comprising a fixed part (7) and a moving part (8), the moving part (8) being mounted at one of its ends that can be made to rotate about an axis of pivoting (A) provided at one end of the fixed part (7) between a position in which the hinge (4) is open and a position in which it is closed. The invention consists in the fact that the moving part (8) has a lug (6) projecting from said moving part (8) towards the fixed part (7) in the plane of pivoting of the said hinge (4), said lug (6) being intended to extend along a structural element of the bodyshell when the hinge (4) is in the closed position.
