[origin: WO2014009103A1] Ventilation device (10) comprising a turbine (12) mounted inside a casing (14) shaped radially as a volute housing, the peripheral wall (22) of the casing (14) diverging gradually away from the periphery of the turbine (12) from a volute tongue (24) to a distal end (E2) of the volute, the radial expansion of the volute being defined by an angle of expansion (a), characterized in that the initial angle of expansion (a) near the volute tongue (24) is 1.5 times to 3 times higher than the final angle of expansion (a2) near the distal end (E2)of the volute, such that the peripheral wall (22) of the casing (14) diverges more rapidly from the vanes at the start of the volute thereby minimizing the turbulence generated at the volute tongue (24).
