Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2014072078A1] The invention relates to an adapter (1) with at least two adapter parts (2, 3) which are connectable with each other. The first adapter part (2) has a male connector (4) on a first end for connection to a USB socket and on a second end at least one first electrical contact (5) and a first part (6a) of a magnetic connection device (6). On a first end, which is provided for connection to the second end of the first adapter part (2), the second adapter part (3) has at least one first electrical mating contact element (8) and a second part (6b) of the magnetic connection device (6), and a port (10) on a second end. The first adapter part (2) forms on its second end at least one contact face (11) which is inclined over a cross-section normal to a longitudinal axis of the adapter. The second adapter part (3) has a complementary contact face (12) on its first end. The contact faces (11,12) bound one another in a plane-parallel fashion when the adapter parts (2, 3) are magnetically connected to each other by the magnetic connecting device (6).
