[origin: WO2014012839A1] According to the present invention there is provided a method for determining the state of a person, comprising the steps of, sensing a pulse of the person using a photoplethysmograph (PPG) sensor; generating a digital pulse waveform which represents the sensed pulse; determining one or more features from the digital pulse waveform; using the one or more features to determine the state of a person being either or both of: 1) a mix of the three heart, breathing and relaxing conditions; or 2) a mix of the three Tibetan Typologies: Lung, Tripa and Beken.
