Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014012526A1] The device consists of a concrete gutter (1) with a walkway (2) which can be lifted and used as a flood barrier wall in the upright and locked position. The modules of the wall consist of a base wall (27) and a folding wall (28), both of which consist of frames (3, 4), floor grates (30) and a waterproofing membrane (29) or other waterproof layer. The concrete gutter (1) has a drainage hole (25) connectable to the sewer system, thus enabling the device to also serve as a gutter walkway. The base wall (27) is mounted by a hinge to the gutter (1), while the folding wall (28) is mounted by a hinge to the base wall (27), and while both rise, in the opposite hinge direction, to an upright vertical position to form a flood barrier wall, either manually or with a lifting device (14, 20, 21, 22). The wall is secured by struts (10) and sealed using connecting and sealing sections (9). The gutter (1) is made of concrete, either cast using a template (18), or manufactured from precast concrete.
