Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014019913A2] The invention relates to a method for installing a first machine part (1) into a second machine part (2). In order to gently eliminate stress states in the material of the first machine part occurring during the installation process, the method according to the invention comprises the steps of a) inserting the first machine part (1) into the second machine part (2) in the intended final position of the first machine part; b) activating an exothermically reacting substance (3), which is arranged against, on top of, or in the first and/or second machine part (1, 2), in order to cause a thermal microstructure change in part of the first machine part (1).
