[origin: WO2014026751A2] In the vehicle according to the invention, a high-capacity energy store, particularly a flywheel arrangement, is used for providing the dynamic driving performance, this store being chargeable by a battery charged in a highly environmentally responsible manner and, if necessary, by an internal combustion engine and by regenerative braking energy. If necessary, the battery can be charged by external mains power or the internal combustion engine which can also supply power to cover energy losses in the event of the vehicle travelling at maximum speed for a prolonged period. By dimensioning the components in a manner according to the invention, a highly efficient hybrid vehicle suitable for long journeys and having a large emission-free range and low specific energy requirement with good dynamic driving performance is achieved. Furthermore, advantageous embodiments are disclosed which use equivalent components and a display device which is advantageous to the drive device.
