In order to achieve a more effective blowing method and to improve the blower lance in terms of the coupling with the hot blast source, according to the invention the hot blast lance is detachably connected to the hot blast source in such a manner that the connection can be automatically detached and reconnected for each batch, i.e. between the batches.
