Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2014023982A1] A connector system is disclosed comprising a male portion having a base surface and a nose extending therefrom and a female portion comprising a faceplate and an orifice through the faceplate the orifice and nose being arranged to allow the nose to be inserted through the orifice when the relative orientation of the nose and orifice correspond to a first configuration, and to allow engagement of the hooking portions with the opposed surface to create a connection between the male and female portions when the orientation of the nose and orifice correspond to a second configuration, and, at least one of the base surface an exterior surface of the female portion has one or more projecting portions, positioned so that when the male and female portion orientations correspond to the second configuration with the nose inserted, the projecting portions abut other projecting portions forcing the male and female portions apart to the extent permitted by the hooking portions, and creating a resistance against return to the first configuration wherein the base surface further comprises one or more locating depressions arranged to cooperate with locating protrusions so as to engage when the orientation of the nose and orifice correspond to the second configuration and the male and female portions are connected.
