[origin: WO2014029462A1] The invention relates to a method for producing cluster packs (1), comprising a single or multiple track container feed or a single or multiple stream of containers, in which the containers have an arbitrary orientation, for example with respect to their container characteristics (2) and/or features and comprising at least one grouping and/or packeting unit or grouping and/or packeting section for grouping a predetermined number of containers and forming them into packets (2). This results in packeted or formed container groups or part-cluster packs and said respective groups or part-cluster packs are subsequently combined to produce a cluster pack (1). According to the invention, before the application of shrink film (3) a band (6) is placed around the cluster pack (1) and at least some sections of the shrink film (3) are bonded on end faces of the cluster pack (1).
