[origin: US2015166325A1] The invention relates to a riding cushion for placement on a mount comprising two lateral parts made from a flexible material, such as a textile web. The two lateral parts are preferably connected to each other along a central line. In order to release the spinal cord, particularly the withers of the mount, a concave formed part is fastened, preferably comprising plastic and/or metal in or at the cushion in the area of and along the central line thereof. This formed part is bent and/or curved upwards towards the frontal end of the cushion in order to follow the withers of the mount.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Reitkissen (1) zum Auflegen auf ein Reittier mit zwei Seitenteilen (10, 12) aus einem flexiblen Material, wie z.B. einem Textilgewebe. Die beiden Seitenteile (10, 12) sind vorzugsweise entlang einer Mittellinie (M) miteinander verbunden. Um die Wirbelsäule und insbesondere den Widerrist des Reittieres zu entlasten, ist in oder an dem Reitkissen (1) im Bereich und entlang der Mittellinie eine hohlwandförmiges Formteil (30), das vorzugsweise aus Kunststoff und/oder Metall besteht, festgelegt. Dieses Formteil (30) ist zum vorderen Ende des Reitkissens (1) hin nach oben abgeknickt beziehungsweise abgebogen, um den Widerrist des Reittieres zu folgen. Vorteile: Wirksame Entlastung der Wirbelsäule und des Widerristes des Reittieres, Austauschbarkeit des Formteiles (30) und deshalb optimale, individuelle Anpassung an den Rücken des Reittieres.
