Abstract (en)
[origin: GB2517682A] A cover for a vehicle inspection and repair pit (1) comprises at least one cover plate (14) for covering the pit (1) and a hydraulic piston (22) to open and close the pit. The cover is hingedly mounted to the opening of the pit so the cover can be rotated into a stowed position. Once in a covered position another piston 28 can lock the cover in place, and retract to allow the cover to be rotated or swivelled back into a stored position.
