A security document (1) is proposed, comprising a document body (2) having a front side (9) and an opposite rear side (10), wherein the document body (2) is transparent for transmitted light observation at least in a window area (3), and wherein graphical information (4) that can be perceived in reflected light observation of the front side (9) is stored on or in the document body (2) in the window area (3), wherein the graphical information (4) is formed by means of at least two different types of image elements (5, 6), wherein an image element grid (15, 16) having grid locations is associated with each of the at least two different types of image elements (5, 6) and the image elements (5, 6) of a type are arranged only at grid locations (25, 26) of the image element grid (15, 16) associated with the type, and wherein the image element grids (15, 16) have grid locations (25', 26') corresponding to each other, which are arranged adjacent to each other in the document body (2), wherein a lens grid (50) is formed on the rear side (10) of the document body (2) and wherein the image element grids (15, 16) are designed and arranged in relation to each other and to the lens grid (50) in such a way that there are at least two preferred detection directions (65, 66) in regard to the rear side (10) of the document body (2), in each of which preferred detection directions only the image elements of one type (5, 6) of the graphical information (4) can be detected through the lens grid (50) at a time.
