Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014033388A1] This method of regulating the electrical assistance of a bike or similar of the type comprising at least one battery (21) and at least two position sensors (24, 25), a first position sensor (24) mounted on the rear wheel (2) of the bike or on the front wheel (3) and a second position sensor (25) mounted on the pedal/gear mechanism (7) of the bike, a motor (22) and a controller (26) comprising an algorithm able to determine the control setpoint for the electric motor (22), is noteworthy in that it comprises at least subsequent steps of: determination of the speed of the rear wheel (2) or of the front wheel (3) and of the speed of the pedal/gear mechanism (7) at an instant t on the basis of the data from the position sensors (24, 25) of the rear wheel (2) or of the front wheel (3) and of the pedal/gear mechanism (7), determination of a control setpoint for the electric motor (22) as a function of the speeds of the rear wheel (2) or of the front wheel (3) and of the pedal/gear mechanism (7) at the instant t and at the instant t-1.
