[origin: WO2014032878A1] The invention relates to a plastic tube head (12) for a product of liquid to pasty consistency, comprising: a neck (26); a shoulder (36); and a barrier-forming insert (44) disposed on the inner surface of the shoulder (36), said insert comprising at least one metal layer and having an outer edge (56). The outer edge (56) of the insert (44) and a portion of the insert face that is oriented towards the internal space (42) inside the tube (10) and adjacent to the outer edge (56) are covered by an outer support (60). The tube head is characterised in that the outer support (60) has a thickness H and covers a length L of the insert face that is oriented towards the internal space (42) inside the tube (10), said thickness H and length L being such that H >= L.
