[origin: WO2014033162A1] The invention relates to a thick-matter pump for producing a continuous thick-matter flow, having at least two pump units (1, 2) which alternate in pumping and suction operation, a suction line (4) with a charge-pressure device (3) which acts separately from the pump units for actively bringing about a thick-matter compression, a delivery line (5) and a switchover device (7) for switching over between the pump units (1, 2), wherein, in a first operating state for delivering the thick matter, by way of the switchover device (7), at least one first pump unit (1) is connected during pumping operation to the delivery line (5) and at least one second pump unit (2) is connected during suction operation to the suction line (4), wherein, in a second operating state, by way of the switchover device (7), at least one first pump unit (1) is connected during suction operation to the delivery line (5) and at least one second pump unit (2) is connected during pumping operation to the suction line (4), and the charge-pressure device (3) is switched to inactive.
