Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2014037189A1] The invention relates to a flare ammunition body (1) shootable from a portable, recoil-free weapon, said flare ammunition body having a projectile case (2) in which a flare body (3), a parachute (5) attached to the flare body (3) and a fuse (6) for activating an ejection charge (7) for ejecting the flare body (3) and the parachute (5) from the projectile case (2) above a target area are provided. In order to achieve an arrangement of the fuse (6) for activating the ejection charge (7) at the rear end of the projectile case (2) without impairing the ejection and deployment process of the parachute (5) after activation of the ejection charge (7), according to the invention the parachute (5), viewed in the shooting direction, is arranged inside a front case portion (8), which can be separated from the adjoining portion of the projectile case (2) when the ejection charge (7) is activated. On the peripheral side of the flare body (3), an air brake (10) is fixed, which deploys during ejection of the flare body (3) out of the projectile case (2) and decelerates the flare body relative to the front case portion (8) in such a manner that the parachute (5) is pulled out of the front case portion (8) from the rear by the flare body (3).
