The channel housing (1) in the present invention is provided with a substantially plate-shaped nozzle wall (100) and a substantially plate-shaped channel wall (200), wherein a tow entrance (310) and a contrapositive tow guide channel (300) of a tow exit (320) are configured between the channel wall (200) and the nozzle wall (100), the nozzle wall (100) being provided with an air entrance passage (121) through which air is able to pass to the tow guide channel (300). The depth of the tow guide channel (300) disposed between the channel wall (200) and the nozzle wall (100) is changeable.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kanalgehäuse für eine Ausbreiterdüse zum Ausbreiten von für die Herstellung von Zigarettenfiltern verwendetem Tow und Verfahren zum Ausbreiten von Tow. Das Kanalgehäuse (1) hat eine im wesentlichen plattenförmige Düsenwand (100) und eine im wesentlichen plattenförmige Kanalwand (200), wobei zwischen der Kanalwand und der Düsenwand (100) ein Towführungskanal (300) mit einer Toweintrittsöffnung (310) und einer gegenüberliegenden Towaustrittsöffnung (320) ausgebildet ist, und wobei ferner die Düsenwand (100) einen Gaszufuhrkanal (121) aufweist, durch den Gas in den Towführungskanal (300) zuführbar ist. Eine Tiefe des Towführungskanals (300) zwischen der Kanalwand (200) und der Düsenwand (100) ist veränderbar.
