[origin: WO2014040703A2] The invention relates to a smoke trap (11), wherein, in order to prevent condensate from being precipitated outside the smoke trap, a baffle plate (19) is disposed in the filter holder (13, 14) before a filter element (12) in the flow direction. The invention further relates to a method to improve the precipitation of condensate in the smoke trap (12) in which method the smoke gas flowing through the smoke trap is diverted in the smoke trap.
