[origin: WO2014041273A1] The invention relates to a method for managing the circulation of a coolant in a branch (3) of a cooling circuit (2) of a motor vehicle, said branch (3) comprising a device (1) for cooling a combustion engine and a system (4) for cooling a combustion gas recirculation module of the combustion engine. The method imposes a zero flow rate on the coolant in the branch (3) when the operating parameters of the combustion engine meet first criteria. According to the invention, the method forces the circulation of the coolant in the branch (3) when parameters of the gas recirculation module meet at least one second criterion, even if the operating parameters of the engine meet the first criteria.
