[origin: WO2014044938A1] An item of furniture (1) comprising a fixed portion (2), at least one opening panel (3) defining, with said fixed portion (2), a display housing (4) and means for lighting the interior of said housing (4), said opening panel (3) comprising a transparent element having two opposing transverse edges (7), each bordered by a metal profile section (9) provided with rolling members (10) for slidably mounting each of said transverse edges (7) along a stationary rail (11) disposed on the fixed portion (2) of said item of furniture (1). The lighting means comprise at least one adhesive LED strip (5) affixed to the inner face of the opening panel (3), extending from one of the longitudinal edges (8) of said opening panel (3) towards the other longitudinal edge, and means (6) for supplying electricity to said strip (5), comprising a first series of wires (61, 62) extending from said stationary rails (11) to a low voltage transformer (63), and a second series of wires (64, 65) extending from said LED strip (5) to the profile sections (9) of the opening panel, via one of the longitudinal edges (8) of said opening panel, and the rolling members (10) are made from an electrically conductive material.
