Abstract (en)
The present disclosure relates to a cylinder liner (8) for guiding a piston (10) of an internal combustion engine (1), and to a method for assembling the internal combustion engine (1). The cylinder liner (8) may comprise a sleeve (24) for guiding the piston (10) therein. The cylinder liner (8) may further comprise a circumferential wiper contact face (30) for scraping off deposits from the piston (10) during operation. The wiper contact face (30) may at least partially protrude towards a longitudinal axis (B) of the sleeve (24) relative an inner face of the sleeve (24). The wiper contact face (30) may have an oval shape.
