[origin: WO2014057077A1] The device according to the invention for measuring the anchorage status of implants involves a novel sensor system for diagnosing the loosening of endoprostheses and other implants in patients and belongs in the application field of medical technology. The object of the invention is to provide the simplest possible device, which can be optionally inserted and is cost-effective to produce, for measuring the anchorage status of intelligent endoprostheses with a modular construction, without the need for intervention in the design of the implant. A further object of the invention is to improve the determination by means of animal experiments of the vascularization of e.g. new implant materials or coatings. The invention aims to permit observation sequences of vascularization behaviour using an unlimited number of temporally sequential measurements. A novel feature of the measuring device and the method is that the sound pulse is generated for the first time directly in the implant by means of an excitation unit, in particular a magnetizable ball. The excitation is achieved by electromagnetic induction produced by an external alternating field pulse, without causing any stress to the patient.
