[origin: EP2756907A1] Welding a surface (13), comprises applying an outer contour welding (2) to the surface having a first welding material (16), which is less susceptible to cracking than a second welding material (11) interposed between the outer contour welding. The outer contour welding is at least 50% wider than the webs of the inner sealing strips (10). An independent claim is also included for a component comprising outer contour welding of first welding material, which is different from that of the welding material of the inner sealing strips, where the width of the outer contour welding is at least 50%, preferably at least 100% greater than the width of the inner sealing strips.
