Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014056621A1] In a system for fire protection of buildings whose exterior walls are at least partially coated with insulation plates made from flammable thermal plastic insulation material, in particular hard foam plates made from polystyrene, polyurethane and similar which are attached to a building wall through gluing and/or anchoring, wherein the covering is interrupted through at least one preferably continuous or circumferential layer of flame bars and/or includes a flame bar above each opening, wherein the flame bars are formed from materials that are non-combustible and/or remain form stable under heat impact and form a barrier between an upper and a lower layer of the insulation plates (4 - 6) against flame propagation in case of a fire, wherein the insulation plates made from thermoplastic insulation material are arranged above and/or below the flame bars, extends the face (9) of the flame bar (3) oriented towards the above layer of insulation plates (5) perpendicular to the front side (8') of the flame bar (3) and/or has a slanted surface (9) which is sloped downward towards an ou er building wall (1), and wherein the face (9, 9') is coated with a flame retardant agent.
