Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014056855A1] The invention relates to a latent heat store (30) for storing thermal energy drawn from a heat transfer fluid by means of a heat storage medium. The latent heat store (30) is designed with a chamber (32) having an inlet (33) and an outlet (34), through which chamber (32) the heat transfer fluid can flow from the inlet (33) to the outlet (34) and in which chamber (32) heat is transferred between the heat transfer fluid and the heat storage medium and vice versa from the heat storage medium to the heat transfer fluid. The chamber (32) has a fluid collection zone (36) opening into the outlet (34) in such a manner that the heat transfer fluid flows out of the chamber (32) under the action of gravity.
