A chair (1) includes: a leg body (10); a backrest supporting body (20) supported by the leg body (10); and a backrest supporting body (50A) supported by the backrest supporting body (20) and configured to support the back of a user. The backrest supporting body (50A) has: a backrest (50) which has a flexible upholstering material member (51) that receives the back of the user and enables displacement depending on the back and a pair of vertical frame sections (53A, 53B) on which the upholstering material member (51) is mounted and which are separated in a width direction in which the vertical frame sections are elastically deformable by a force applied from the upholstering material member (51); and a backrest rear section supporting member (40) configured to connect the vertical frame sections (53A, 53B) in an upward/downward direction.
