[origin: GB2522203A] A tool container 10 comprises two plastic shells 20, 40 hinged 60 together and lockable 70 in a closed position. The tool container comprises tool supports 202 each arranged to support a respective hand tool inside the tool container. The first shell and/or second shell comprise a window to each tool support inside the tool container. The tool supports comprise material of the first shell or second shell pigmented with a fluorescent colour visible through a respective window. The fluorescent colour indicates to the user when a tool is absent or missing. The tool supports may also be made of a softer plastic material to cushion the tools from impacts and collisions. The uncompressed thickness of the cushions may be 0.5mm to 3mm. The cushions may support the tool along three orthogonal axes to improve support. The shells may be clad with the second material to provide a softer touch and improve frictional contact and stability when resting on a work surface.
