[origin: WO2014063895A1] The present invention relates to a composition comprising (A) an isocyanate of formula (I) OCN-A-SiR1R2R3 (I), and B) a Brønstedt or Lewis acid or a compound releasing a Brønstedt or Lewis acid at room temperature. In a particular embodiment component B) is described according to formula (II): R5 is halogen, -CO-halogen or -CH 2-halogen, R6 is hydrogen, -CH 2-halogen, halogen and -CO-halogen. The acid components serve as stabilisers in order to increase the storage life of alkoxy-containing isocyanates produced according to phosgene-free methods. Also claimed are a method for producing a stabilised alkoxysilane-containing isocyanate which comprises the step of adding a Lewis or Brønstedt acid or a compound releasing a Brønstedt or Lewis acid at room temperature to an alkoxysilane-containing isocyanate.
